Privacy Policy
In effect since 15 September 2026
This policy describes how Recomeet handles personal data. It covers the Mac app and the recomeet.app website.
Who the controller is
Recomeet Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda, registered in Brazil under CNPJ 60.446.983/0001-16, with offices at Av. Paulista, 1106, sala 01, Bela Vista, São Paulo/SP, CEP 01310-914. For anything in this policy, including exercising your rights, write to support@recomeet.app.
The principle: your meeting content never leaves your Mac
Recomeet records, transcribes and summarises on your device. The audio, the transcript, the summaries, the AI answers, your notes, the meeting titles and the folders are stored only on your machine, in the folder you choose. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to reach that content, by accident or on request.
The AI model that writes the summaries is downloaded to your machine and runs there. No cloud AI provider is called.
This still holds with the integrations the app offers. You can connect your Notion, or point to an Obsidian folder, to receive the summary and the notes of the meetings you choose. It is optional, off by default, and nothing is sent until you connect the tool and mark which folders go. The "Optional integrations" section describes exactly what leaves and where it goes.
What we process, and why
- Your account identity: name, email and an identifier, received from Google when you sign in. Purpose: authenticating you and tying the subscription to the right account.
- Your subscription: Stripe identifiers (customer, subscription and price), plan, status, currency, current period end and whether a cancellation is scheduled. Purpose: knowing whether your access is active.
- Server logs: IP address and request time, as any web server keeps. Purpose: security and troubleshooting.
- Download counts: when someone clicks to download the app, we store the date, the version delivered, the browser language and the site the click came from. No IP, no cookie, no identifier: there is no way to tie a download to a person, or two downloads to each other. Purpose: knowing how many people try the product.
What we do not process
The app carries no telemetry whatsoever. It does not report what you record, how much you use it, when you open it or whether you opened it at all. The only calls it makes to us are confirming your subscription and signing in. If you connect Notion, it also talks to Notion, and only about the meetings you marked.
The website has no Google Analytics, pixel, tracking cookie or any tool that follows visitors across pages or across visits. The only count is the download count described above, and it stores no identifier.
We also never receive your card details. Payment happens on a Stripe page and the card data goes straight to them; it never touches our servers.
Optional integrations
The app can send meetings to tools of yours. Today there are two: Notion and Obsidian. Both are optional and start off. After connecting, you mark which Recomeet folders go there, and only the meetings in those folders are sent.
What goes: the meeting title, the date, the folder name, the summary and your notes. What never goes: the audio and the transcript.
Notion. The export goes from your Mac straight to your Notion workspace, using a token you create in Notion yourself and paste into the app. We are not in the path, we receive no copy, and we have no way to see what was sent. The token is stored encrypted on your Mac and deleted when you disconnect. What you edit in Notion the app does not overwrite; what you delete there it does not recreate. How data is handled inside Notion follows Notion's own privacy policy.
Obsidian. The app writes files into a folder on your Mac that you choose. Nothing leaves the computer because of that. If that folder is synced by another service, such as iCloud or Obsidian Sync, that transfer belongs to the service you set up, outside this policy.
Who we share with
Only who is needed for the service to work:
- Google: authentication, when you sign in with your Google account.
- Supabase: stores your account identity and subscription data.
- Stripe: processes payment. Receives your email and your account identifier.
- Amazon Web Services: hosts the website and the licence server.
- Hugging Face: where the app downloads the AI model from. The download sends no account data, but your IP address is visible to them, as with any download.
Notion is not on this list because it is not us sharing with it: it is you, from your Mac, if you choose to. See "Optional integrations".
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data with anyone, under any circumstance.
Where the data lives
Our servers are in the United States (Amazon Web Services, us-east-2).
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your account identity and subscription data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.
Your recordings and transcripts are not part of that: they are on your machine, and deleting them is your decision, on your computer.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, access it, correct it, delete it, port it, and learn who we share it with. Write to support@recomeet.app and we answer within 15 days.
Recomeet is operated from Brazil and this policy follows Brazilian data protection law (LGPD). We honour the requests above wherever you are.
Security
Your session credential is stored encrypted in the macOS Keychain, and your subscription access is confirmed by a digitally signed document only your app can use. Communication with our servers is always over HTTPS.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will email you before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page is always the version in force.
