Terms of Use
In effect since 15 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Recomeet, offered by Recomeet Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda, CNPJ 60.446.983/0001-16. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Recomeet is
A Mac app that records meetings, transcribes and summarises on your own device. We provide the app and a licence service that confirms whether your subscription is active. We do not host, process or have any access to your meeting content.
Account
You need a Google account to sign in, and you must be 18 or older, or have permission from whoever is responsible for you. The account is personal: you are responsible for what happens in it.
Recording meetings is your responsibility
This is the most important clause here. Recording a conversation may require the participants' consent, and the rule differs by country, by state and by context: professional, medical, legal. You alone are responsible for getting the permissions you need and for following the law that applies to you and to everyone in the meeting. The app is a tool; the use of it is yours.
Seven-day trial and billing
A subscription starts with seven days at no charge. If you do not cancel within that window, the first charge happens automatically at the end of it, and then repeats every month or every year, depending on the plan. The currency is set on your first subscription and does not change afterwards.
The prices that apply are the ones shown on the website when you subscribe. If they change, we will give at least 30 days' notice, and the change only applies from the following renewal.
Cancelling and changing your mind
You can cancel whenever you want, from the app itself, under Settings → Plan. Cancelling stops the next charge, and your access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
Right of withdrawal: within seven calendar days of any charge, you may withdraw and receive a full refund, with no need to explain. This is the right granted by article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, and we honour it for every customer wherever they are. Just write to support@recomeet.app.
What happens when a subscription ends
Your recordings are yours and they are on your machine, and they stay where they are, and the app keeps opening, searching, playing back and editing notes on everything you have already recorded. The audio files and transcripts sit on disk in a folder the app reveals in the Finder, and any program can read them: there is no export to perform and no format locked to Recomeet. What stops working is starting new recordings. Nothing is deleted for non-payment.
Working offline
The app confirms your subscription periodically and keeps that confirmation for up to seven days, working offline in the meantime. After that window without being able to confirm, it behaves as an inactive subscription until it reconnects.
Your data is yours, and so is the backup
Because everything lives on your machine, backing it up is your responsibility. We hold no copy of your recordings and there is no way to recover them if you lose the computer, delete the folder or wipe the disk.
Availability
We do our best to keep the licence service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Outages can happen through maintenance, third-party failure or causes beyond our control. If an outage on our side keeps you from using the app for a meaningful period, write to support and we will make it proportionally right.
Acceptable use
You may not attempt to bypass the subscription check, resell access, use the app for unlawful purposes, or record people who have not agreed to it. Breaking these rules can end your account.
Ownership
The app, the brand and the website are ours. Your subscription grants the right to use the app, not to copy it, redistribute it or build derivatives of it. What you produce (recordings, transcripts, notes) is entirely yours.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided as is. We are not liable for an inaccurate transcript, an incorrect summary, or a decision made on the strength of either: automatic transcription makes mistakes, and checking what matters is up to you. Except for consumer rights that the law does not allow to be waived, our liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the event.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you want. We may close it if these terms are broken, giving notice beforehand whenever possible.
Governing law
Brazilian law applies. Disputes are settled in the courts of the consumer's domicile.
Changes
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will email you in advance. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting the new version.
